They signed Jared Anderson who was a top level prospect two times national champion as a amatuer etc not saying they all translate well as professionals, but they signed Ali Walsh who barely had any amatuer fights and the ones he did have were at a low level. it was all based on the name.

No way top rank pick him up otherwise because top rank for the most part sign really good top level prospects and Ali-walsh was never that but he had that name they could try sell but like you said didn't have the talent to back it up so can't see them hanging onto him much longer so hopefully he's made some decent money from this deal with them [/QE]

This ^^^^^^^^ is exactly how it went down
Great post and way to observe the evident bull chit that comes along having one of the most famous names in sports
He was damned if he did , damned if he didn’t
Definitely. The guy had the biggest shoes in boxing you could try and fill and he was never gonna live up to that even if he was a super talent so the fact he's a pretty average fighter anyway, it was always doomed but like I said not everyone in the sport can be elite and I'm sure he'll get fights by coasting of the name if he wants to elsewhere, but don't see him being with top rank for much longer if he's losing at the level he is.

Anderson just hasn't got it, there's been real concerns about his mentality for a couple of years now, since way before the Bakole fight.

He's talented but nowhere near talented enough to cruise on that without putting the work in.

Nico should go to BKFC. He could actually be competitive there and it would avoid direct comparisons to his boxing HOF grandfather and aunt or his pro MMA fighter brother and uncle.

Reminds me of good old Keef who after his marriage went on a magic carpet ride never to return lol

Yeah that could be a avenue for him because BKFC is getting more attention and I think he'd beat the 155lb champ over there. The 165lb champ is Austin trout who himself is a faded former world champion in boxing but now is doing well and making money in BKFC as the champ there because he has the boxing background the former MMA guys who he's fighting there don't.

Austin Trout had the WBA secondary belt and lost when he challenged for the full title. He was never a real world champion in boxing.
