Uninspiring performance from Jared, he is not the future of the division. If he keeps fighting he will be reduced to a fringe gate keeper.

Nico Ali Walsh was DOA! I’ve said it a million times the kid cashed in on his grandfathers legacy-TR blew smoke up the kids ass! He was better off coming into boxing on the down low and honing his skills quietly in ballroom shows. He fast tracked his career because of his name which has turned out to be embarrassing and useless. The kid has zero future! there’s only one Ali.

I mean... boxing NEEDS fringe gatekeepers. Someone needs to filled the huge void left by Gerald Washington.

I think you're being overly generous.
Maybe fringe top ten in WBA rankings.

Jared Anderson aswell another guy with athleticism but just hasnt got the ring IQ and can't really adapt
Ali should have done what Nicolas Cage did which was to change his name so no one early on would know, in Cage's case, that he was related to a famous director and build his own career. Only problem is Cage is massively talented and Walsh is not. But I cringe how he used Ali's name but so did the the media around him. I guess Walsh made more money while riding the gravy train but it is over for him losing to way below clubfighter level fighters. His 15 minutes of fame was up long ago. Also, Michelle Rivera needs to knock the damn connotations off with his Ali hair. That is cheesy as hell.

I mean, he wouldnt be on these cards if he wasn't Ali's grandson. So if that was his goal, he's certainly earned more by telling everybody. No hate, he could have chosen one way or the other, it's a personal choice.

Also I'm going out on a limb, but you probably don't grow up as Ali's grandson without telling everybody along the way. Maybe some people wouldn't make it a focus, but if your family did, it would just be natural to bring it into the ring with you too.

If you were a carpenter or bricklayer or mechanic, and everybdy knew your grandpa or dad was a really great one, wouldnt you want people to know and try to carry on that legacy?

Yeah I agree but the only reason he ever got signed by top rank was because of the name. No way top rank pick him up otherwise because top rank for the most part sign really good top level prospects and Ali-walsh was never that but he had that name they could try sell but like you said didn't have the talent to back it up so can't see them hanging onto him much longer so hopefully he's made some decent money from this deal with them

Great post and way to observe the evident bull chit that comes along having one of the most famous names in sports
