I guess this fight might show us who has more left. Joyce has had a run of bad luck. He was coming on strong before Zhang's punishment closed his eye. He fought a disastrous strategic fight in the rematch. I thought he did enough against Chisora to maybe get the nod, but he's now on the downside. Whyte has been too inactive and looking at Wilder doing the same in the same age range, it's a prescription for disaster for older fighters. At least Whyte looks trimmer in this photo, like he's been training, but I'd rather see him against Chisora, although Derek has bigger fish to fry aiming for a Usyk rematch, or fights against AJ and/or Dubois.

Joyce's bad luck is that he fights in slow motion and his once invincible chin has been cracked. Blocking shots with your head was never a good idea and there is only so much punishment you can take. Wilder's case is less about age and more about his heart being no longer in the sports after his series of losses to Fury so that might not be a good comparison.I guess this fight might show us who has more left.
