I'm not going to knock Canelo because at this point of his career his legacy is secure. This is just a money grab plain and simple. Scull and Crawford are easy wins Crawford barely got past Madrimov at 154 and he is gonna go up to 168, two weight classes, and fight a guy way better than Madrimov? Canelo is not going to pass up Cinco De Mayo. That's a money date weekend for him. But he's going to most likely face Crawford in September. Therefore, it's wise to take an easy, stay conditioned fight against a non power punching opponent.
