Another thing, Bread saying Benavidez doesn’t have large hands means absolutely nothing obviously! Given the fact that Ronnie Shields said before the fight that Morrell had the biggest hands he’d ever seen on a light heavyweight!

I remember actually looking into the case against Margarito. and he was using old used wraps on knuckles but there was no foreign substance found. wish that would get cleared up and we could all understand 1 truth about that. anyone else here read that? there was a hearing on that and that was something brought out.

Originally posted by BrankoBI agree with Bread that Benavidez has a better chance against Bivol style wise (then Beterbiev). Based on his fight with Gvozdyk, I thought Benavidez had no chance at 175 but in his fight with Morrell he showed huge improvements at this weight so now he is competitive. I still think he gets stopped by healthy Arthur (no injuries).
First he was way to stationary which blew my mind coming from the Cuban school of boxing
Secondly instead of boxing he decided to fight tooth and nail which was one of the worst plans I had ever seen
I’ll explain why ; he could of boxed him ( Morrell is the better technically speaking boxer ) and banked some rounds
Then , as we all know , Benny runs out of steam and imo that would of been the moment ( around the seventh or eighth round ) to actually go balls out
Also not a big fan of Ronnie Shields who imo did a terrible job of planning to begin with but also no words of wisdom either
Yes , Benny did well and looked great ( which I didn’t think he had in him ) but let’s be honest he had a guy right in front of him willing to trade
So i congratulate him for his performance but the verdict is not final on Benny and I think his power and stamina didn’t carry over to light heavyweight so ……..
