Canelos been doing this a long time now , he has had a great career and gave us some great shows but he is on the way out he has slowed down big time , he is there for the taking , he got hit way too much in his last couple of fights , I will certainly tune in to watch him if he fights but I think he should call it a day

I thought Turki was a real boxing fan. Guess not. Ain't no way Canelo is even seeing 160 for a weigh in for this fight so Crawford is going to have to balloon up more weight classes just like Canelo's been selectively doing his whole career (king of the catch weights). I'm not saying Crawford isn't somehow culpable in this because it takes two to sign a contract but this some mess. What's next? Inoue fighting Tank? Benavidez fighting Usyk?

If boxing was really in order, these would be the opponents for these fighters:

      Canelo:
      1) Finally fight Benavidez at some weight. WBC will let him skip mandatories, keep belts, rob police on the street and never do anything to him, but tell a Charlo the minute a bell rings, his belts are gone. Some trash.
      2) Rematch Bivol. And I don't want to hear anymore about 175 not being Canelo's weight class when dude was flirting with potential cruiserweight options.
      3) The young bull Sheeran.

      Bud:
      1) Just go get Boots and be done with it.
      2) Unify and be undisputed in three weight classes. He would be favored against all of them (Fundora, Murtazaliev, Vera, ) Bud would beat the brakes off of all them dudes.

Naw...we're over here with weight divisions don't matter. Belts clearly don't matter, and sanctioning bodies are absolutely worthless. We're getting some dope matchups this year, but the usual cronyism and self-sabotaging of the sport ain't changing.

Thank you, the article is dripping with smarm and cynicism, I love it. Like the poster above, the term 'engagement farming' is an excellent description.
