  • ESPN/Coppinger: Canelo v. Paul off, Canelo v. Crawford on

    https://www.espn.com/boxing/story/_/...d-bout-back-on

Canelo signs a 4 fight deal with Turki. Looking at Bruno Surace or Jermall Charlo in May, then Crawford in September.

Someone needs to ban all trolls for disrupting our forum with false and misleading threads. The Canelo/Crawford fight is off story was nothing more than click bait.

More than one news outlet had reported that the fight was off and now reporting the fight is back on

And Hearn Ring Coppinger all in on it. You can tell it was trolling so they could build momentum and hype for when its convenienctly announced back on. Canelo Paul was never going to be made or be in talks

In the age of social media where most boxing fans get their scoop and where anybody can post whatever they want. I am afraid you are right.

Here’s the deal. I cannot prove whether the story was accurate or not.

All I know they announced the fight was signed and on earlier in the week. Just to turn around and announce that the fight was off.

Who knows? Perhaps the story was true. I have no way of determining whether it was or not.

It could have been that Canelo had a change of heart at the 11th hour by changing his mind. In any case, I am just happy that the fight is back on again.

Functionally it's all clickbait and nothing is real until BOTH fighters signed contracts. I've signed contracts before and if the opponent doesn't, the fight doesn't happen. And even then, both fighters still have to make it to the ring, ideally without getting sick or injured.

You are right. I was wrong. Turki claims he did it. He even admitted to doing it on purpose.

Probably after Paul was caught insulting him and his ways
