Did anyone notice how Benavidez is now back-pedaling regarding fighting Beterviev and didn’t mention his name at all? Turns out there is a connection now: Hot Rod Kalajdzic. Morrell hurt and dropped Benavidez, which is considerably more damage than what he was able to do vs Kalajdzic, an opponent Beterviev brutally stopped in the fifth round. As I said all along, Benavidez finally got cracked in the head by a good opponent his own size and is now beginning to understand his place.

There won't be any Trilogy, so Benavidez can buy his ticket right away ....

            David " High Trunks" Benavidez.

He seems to "purposely" put his shorts up high to give his opponents a smaller target. He is the Tyson Fury of the 175, pudgy, fast hands, and Trunks up to the chest.

That's smart. Let them beat up on each other by the time he gets them they will be close to their decline state.

Known by who for only his power? Guys, come on 'I have news for all your people, just because David Benavidez and David Morrell Junior, are ether American or American based fighters. That does not mean they are the pinnacle of the sport in terms of ability, or even genuine World to Elite level fighters'.

The game has moved on, both David Benavidez and David Morrell Junior achieved nothing much as Amateur fighters compared to Arthur Beterbiev 'Beterbiev was ether a Gold or Silver medallist in three prestigious global Amateur Championships. The European Amateur Championships, World Amateur Championship and World Cup'.

Lets have a look what David Morrell Junior achieved in the Amateur ranks? Nothing much, just like I stated. He won a few minor domestic titles, and a Junior title. Congratulations to him, but? Skill for skill neither Benavidez and Morrell Junior have proven that skill for skill they are elite level fighters. And competing against each other, and getting the victory still does not prove that they are skill for skill elite level fighters.

Without a shadow of doubt David Benavidez and David Morrel Junior can be classed as World level fighters 'But they will have to achieve more feats to enter into the Elite level realms'.

Note: The reason why I am referencing each fighter's Amateur record 'Is because the amateur ranks, but more emphasis on a fighters pure technical skill. If a boxer is going to be a great boxer skill for skill, and they have fought in the amateur ranks? Then almost 95% of the time, those fighters would have shown already in their amateur career that they were great skill for skill boxers. Very rarely to fighters have under par amateur careers, then suddenly turn professional and appear top level fighters in terms of technical ability'.

Both fighters really Benavidez and Morrell Junior have heavily relied on their physicality to progress in the professional ranks 'The only issue with this method, is what truly separates World level fighters from Elite level fighters. Are the skill for skill dimensions of their game;.

i.e. David Benavidez may be a aggressive, and solid fighter. But does he really have a more sophisticated offense and inside game than Canelo Alvarez or Arthur Beterbiev? No he does not.

To conclude: Overall I just think certain people within the boxing community worldwide, need to understand 'That David Benavidez vs David Morrell Junior, was not much more than a Domestic level fight. The reason why it still appeared to be a boxing event of great magnitude, was because? America as a boxing country is so vast. Therefore domestic level fights in America can still have a gravitational level similar to a Word level fight'.

Anthony Joshua vs Daniel Dubois was a bigger boxing event, and higher level match up by miles 'But I watched people on this very forum criticise that fight'.

In regards to David Benavidez, I rated him as a World level fighter ' But I would not be surprised if he gets smashed up sooner or later. Benavidez has had two fights now at 175 pounds, and he won neither of those fights by knockout. The aura and intimidation which he had at 168 pounds, is decreasing at 175 pounds. If David Benavidez carries on performing like he is now? Benavidez may be winning fights, but he is landing his power punches in high frequency, and still he is not knocking down his opponent's or forcing stoppages'.

David Benavidez is for sure a World level fighter 'But I am not buying into this media narrative, that is being pushed by certain folk within the boxing community that he is some sort of monster level fighter' etc.

Canelo should fight him, even at light heavyweight.

I think if Benavidez goes down to super middleweight, he's going to be drained and weakened.

Bivol, in my opinion, is the best light heavyweight and most difficult to beat. He's not the prettiest to watch, but he gets it done, as I thought he did against Beterbiev.

Beterbiev might be slightly on the wane, and I think Benavidez could hurt him.

lmfao yeah thats what a lot of opponents who fought beterbiev before they got KO'd by a counter.

beter has better defense than morell and hes not even particularly good at it, its just that morell isnt the "skilled boxer" he was marketed as. people see cuban and they think hes going to be good.

beter also has insane stamina, did you not see bivol who is known for his stamina, gassed with beter still stalking him end of fight, show me a single fight where beter hasnt been the fresher guy down the stretch, it hasnt happened in 20 fights and hes a 40 year old man
