The 'face of boxing' deserves an acronym: FOB.
You're right - if a supposed FOB avoids and cherry picks and generally frustrates boxing fans, that face will resemble butt cheeks more than that other pair of cheeks. Self-aggrandizing chatter from boxers is the norm, unfortunately, and isn't likely to go away. We need more like Hagler and Ali and Leonard, true champions who fought the best of their time in order to BE the best. Maybe Benavidez can be that guy, too. We'll find out eventually.

Benavidez is a hard fight for any of the 175 lb fighters. He is determined and confident, not a one-punch KO guy but many hard punches from all angles and a long, hard jab. The Beterviev-Bivol fight is another great one. Good fights coming up. Canelo who knows?

The only thing I don't like about Benavidez is that he wears his Shorts too high and gives the illusion of a smaller target. Making opponents to be more cautious not to hit on the shorts and be warned or deducted for low blows.
