Fun to watch but all this showed me is Cruz ain't that guy.

He never has been. His claim to fame is lasting with Tank.

either fierro got a granit chin or cruz got no power but leaning towards granite chin. fierro ate so many flush full power shots. thats not good though. agree with other guys this was a career shortening fight because everyone took so much damage while it going the full distance. sometimes knockouts are a good things protects you from more damage.

The Judge that gave Fiero two rounds should be banned. The scoring was difficult (all Cruz fights are). Cruz leads with his head and doesn't get penalized for it. He is a good pressure guy, but he tires badly when he gets hit back after 5 or 6 rounds. Fiero took a ton of head butts and the ref just pretended there is no such thing. I thought Fiero won the fight, or at least have gotten a draw. Fiero will be a tough out in this division. Good chin, adapts, and definitely comes to fight.

Cruz is tough and comes to fight, but that head leading is dangerous and shouldn't be allowed. Just because he is shorter, he shouldn't be able to run head-first into his opponents chin. If the opponent ducks or fights low he will get multiple head butts AND a whole lot of punches. The punches are fine, but the head-butting should not be allowed. Fiero adapted, fought through all of that, and took control several times in this fight. He was still standing defiant at the end. He had Cruz looking for relief many times after Cruz got tired. Fiero was robbed. They want to make bigger fights with Cruz so Fiero took one for the team I guess. No way he should be an unknown.

What a great fucking fight? It was not only hands down the fight of the year but also, the decade, century and the new millennium! Isaac Cruz actually displayed some real vulnerability in there. It was the first time I've ever seen him back up, hurt or eaten those many clean punches before.

The fight was too close to call. It could have gone either way or a Draw.

This fight just proved that the best thing PBC could do is get a weekly boxing show of prospect and contender level fights like the old USA Tuesday Night Fights and the ESPN Friday Night Fights. The best fights are always with fighters who want to rise rather than who want to protect records. PBC is close to the boxing street in the USA and Mexico ina way none of the other promotions are save for maybe Top Rank. We need to get away from trying to make super big money fights every time out and get back to building stars in the prospect and contender ranks
