Benavidez doesn't have big power at 75, but up here he reminds me of Brandon Rios when he was at 135 - granite chin, accurate, crazy workrate.

          7 Benavides - Morrell 2

Morel has been reduced to fighting in very short spurts. Even when he does that, most of his punches are blocked.

Ya man. He is still making it interesting in spots, but this is a 2 minute beatdown almost every round

Benavidez simply winning on volume. He can't hurt Morrell. Morrell keeps him honest once a round.

That round was closer but I still gave it to Benavidez, he's just superior. Better offense and defense.

bena has deceptively effective defense, i dont know how to explain it, his hands are either low or not in position and he moves them as the punch is coming, a lot of the cross arm crab defense at times, other times a shoulder roll or high guard.

1-0 Benavidez. Nice bodywork. Morrell is very aggressive and active but not landing anything.
2-0 Benavidez. Very accurate work. Morrell is still very aggressive but taking shots.. you can see them.
3-0 Benavidez. Just much more accurate. Morrell lands a few decent shots, but 90%+ are on the gloves.
4-0 Benavidez. Dude's landing BOMBS and Morrell keeps taking them. Morrell has a solid chin so far. Bena takes a good counter too at the end of the round.
5-0 Benavidez. Morrell is throwing shots, and they're all missing, and missing very wide. Bena continues with excellent placement, great bodywork. Morrell tried to goto the body a bit too.
6-0 Benavidez. Dominant round, nothing to say. Morrell threw 10 shots or less. Maybe he hopes Bena gets tired.
7-0 Benavidez. Another dominant round. Morrell threw some shots but landed nothing. Benavidez continues with quality work upstairs and downstairs
8-0 Benavidez. I really wanted to give this one to Morrell. He did great work in the first half, and landed an excellent counter. But he took wayy too many clean shots down the stretch. Def a swing round.
9-0 Benavidez. Dominant round.. but Morrell keeps taking them and throws back without problems. He seems undamaged so far. Maybe Bena's power did not carry well to LHW?
