Canelo has been a bust on the Mexican holidays for years now. Mainly because he doesn’t make fights that captivate real fans and the general public. He’s going to make another lame fight; probably against scull as most have suggested. A more disappointing face of boxing I cannot recall.

I think Turki is laying down a challenge to PBC and esp.Canelo.
May 2nd with Garcia is bound to be well supported by the casuals including, I would think, some casual fans of Canelo.
So Canelo's ppv the next day will flop if he fights Scull or similar fighter.
The only way Canelo can have a successful ppv on May 3rd is if he is in with a live opponent - so .... Crawford, Pacheco or Mbilli. Fight them or give up your date. Or keep your date, fight your usual crap opponent and lose sales.Comment

Lara isn't some come forward fighter tho. He's a counter puncher. This would be similar to Bud/Madrimov. A chess match.Comment

Lara VS Bud for the Middleweight Title!
Make it happen Turki![/QUOTE]
That fight would be a stroke of genius. They are both still fighting strong at a late point in their careers (Lara a bit later than Bud). Both have been at the top of boxing technicians, and both have immense pride and would not willingly accept a defeat at this point. I think Crawford is more natural at 160 than 168 (as is Lara now), but both could take it at 168 if need be.
Also, PBC could make this fight, or Turki and the Saudis. The winner is set up for Canelo next in a decent pound-for-pound contest. Perfect.

You totally didn't read what I wrote. I never said lara was that. You didn't read where I said fighting lara will not prepare him for canelo ? Lol. Omg. Jesus.Comment

This makes sense and it sounds about right with the exception if they planing matching Bud with Lara the cuban aint no paper champion ,he still very much a treat imo, matter of fact, both Lara and Scull have tricky styles so is not going to be that easy for either guy.
A soft touch at this point would be really dumb and useless at this point
I’d even accept a bigger puncher maybe less skilledComment

This wouldn't be a bad move for Bud because there's still a threat in Lara and a meaningful fight being that it'll make him a 4-division champ. I'd watch this.Comment

It would seem that other boxing sites already have an inside info on Canelo and Bud for September 13. I can never understand it - Boxing News 24 always seems to have news stories 2 to 3 days ahead of Boxing Scene. At the same time their stories are so lame and biased, it seems almost like every story is written by the same 10 year old, even though different names are supposedly assigned to stories.
Really puzzling. They get the inside scoop quickly, but then their commentary is so unprofessional and so biased that I stopped reading it some time ago. Perhaps the owner gets the stories from other sites and then edits them completely to his own liking based on which fighters he likes and which ones he hates.
Maybe the reasons that they are sometimes quicker to break news is that they haven’t the journalistic integrity to wait for final confirmation, whereas the others prefer to wait until the powers that be make it official.
Even a broken clock is right twice a day.Comment
