Win or lose, I would give AJ credit if he went into this after the Dubois streamrolling.

Before and especially after being brutally exposed and flattened again , Joshua is going no where near Bakole or any live one. He said he'd always dreamed of a fight in Africa , he could have one tomorrow now his injury seems 'better'. , but he won't. I not saying Joshua wouldn't fight Bakole , I think he'd go against anyone but he's well advised . Being cleaned out again would be the end.

Bakole acts like nobody will fight him but Michael hunter has been calling for the rematch for years.
I know Hunter doesn't have a ranking right now but he beat Bakole and made him quit, now he's supposedly finished and Bakole is supposedly much better than he was back then, why not take the chance to avenge your only defeat Bakole?
I suspect the reason why is because Bakole isn't actually any better than when Hunter beat him, still can't handle movers and is looking to fight stationary targets who stand in front of him.
Anthony Joshua is FINISHED, of course Bakole beats him, Dubois just cleaned him out almost effortlessly, there's no credit to be gained by beating AJ now, especially not if you are supposedly the best heavyweight without a title currently.BrankoB likes this.

My guess is that just about every top 10 heavyweight would right now see Bakole as the risk not worth taking. A few top heavyweights would no doubt beat him, but he is not well known enough and does not offer the kind of money that is required to take a risk of that magnitude (just to get the street cred which does not feed your family).Last edited by BrankoB; 01-23-2025, 03:54 PM.

Bakole to me is in Luis Ortiz territory just a decade later, he has some ok wins certainly dangerous but won't propel anyone other than a prospect up the ranks. Something of a boogeyman of the division until he's not.
