I don't know why there is so much debate going on about the weight for the fight. Ryan could not make 140 last time and now 12 months out of the ring, he will barely, possibly make 147. Haney was talking about moving to 147 even before the fight last year because he said he was outgrowing 140. So, 147 is what they both want and are comfortable with.

"But Garcia-Haney II shouldn’t be happening, because Haney is again accepting an uneven playing field by rematching at Garcia’s preferred weight. Yes, in theory, the commitment to using VADA testing should neutralize one manner in which “King Ry” tilted the canvas last April. But that’s only half the battle. The word is the fight will be contracted for 147 pounds. Haney is a junior welterweight. Garcia, one presumes, can’t get back down to 140. At a catchweight of, say, 142 or 143 pounds, this would feel like a fair compromise. At 147, it’s Haney giving Garcia permission to come into the ring on fight night an undrained, fully hydrated super middleweight."
      The fight shouldn't be happening.

I think he should've been suspended for years, personally.

Yes, I understand your opinion on why you feel the fight shouldn't be happening, you feel that the suspension should've been longer. I respect your opinion and won't argue that, but I'm asking if you believe the quoted part of the article I provided. That part of the article doesn't mention how lenient the suspension was. Do you believe the bolded???
