Will Boxing popularity decline drastically in America 10 years from now ?

There’s lack of Boxing superstars currently in America. The top American boxers rarely fight each other and most American boxers are in lower weight classes. Will the current state of boxing drastically affect the future?

They used to be many amateur tournaments and a great amateur system. Now there is very little and the olympics is looking to get rid of boxing from the format.

It pretty much already has in the last 10 years or so. Too many apps, too many belts, too many questionable decisions a/o outright robberies, not enough good/great cards put on and fighters these days pick and choose. It's fcukin sad tbh

When Hbo and showtime ran boxing, along with lil bro espn's fnf, I used to have boxing parties damn near every month if not every other. Now, it's not even close to that.

as much as I like football, it feels scripted to an extent. I dont even bother with basketball and the bs phantom calls or it being too long of a season. And don't get me started with baseball (way too many games to care)!

The current HW division is starting to fade out the old guard and newer, fresher fighters are climbing the ranks. Hopefully a superstar will emerge (and one who deserves it on talent).

Consistent activity has become hard to attain in this sport, particularly in the US. Everyone seems to be waiting for someone or something. One is waiting for Turki, another one is waiting for Spence, etc. as some examples. Only to be told it's not happening. They can't even take stay-busy fights while waiting.

I'm okay with ProboxTV type of fights as long as they're regular. We need more of them. Fans can't depend on Turki alone.
