Comments Thread For: Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney on the brink of a deal for trilogy series

Sources told BoxingScene on Wednesday that the acrimony between Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney is close to being set aside for what is sure to be a lucrative rematch ? and, in fact, a trilogy between the rivals.

Lucrative? Why lucrative? How lucrative? You reporters didn't even have the nerve to find out about the PPV numbers. Where are they?

Howcome a relatively small fight like Tank vs Martin had numbers? 300,000 to 350,000 according to Fat Dan? Is that fight bigger than the Garcia vs Haney fight? Where are Garcia vs Haney numbers? Where?

You people need to put your acts together and start questioning things.

Haney beats the ever living **** out of Garcia so long he makes weight and isn't on the sauce again.

Trilogy? What if Garcia knocks Haney around the ring again? Will there even be a demand for any further fights?

He'll probably win a decision and maybe even a UD, but he won't beat the ever living **** out of Ryan, in my opinion....

It’s gotten to the point that side issues, controversy, drugs, social media arguments, what they said, their attitudes, etc. are more popular then the physical attributes and athletic abilities of the actual fighters. Sure that Hate stuff was usually newsworthy. But fights, that is real fights that are actually competitive occur so rarely the whole game has become mostly hype. Boxing managers have gotten extremely good at grooming, not necessarily their fighter’s physical abilities, but their, “political positions” in the market.
