Drinking piss is a 1000 IQ move if you're on roids. Instead of pissing the roids out of your system in a toilet, you just put the roids back in your system. Maximum efficiency, and elite level dirty
    This made me chuckle...

This is true and what I believe. With new nutrition and science, athletes can go longer than before. That said, if the dude is nearly 40 and looks more ripped than he did in his late 20s and early 30s, it might be questionable. Considering the loss of T as you hit 40 and muscles start to deteriorate, without some kind of supplementing enhancer, you're simply destined to lose the mass and look a lot more soft.

Can see this now if you watch guys like Pacquiao fighting after 40, Mosley in his 40s looked hella soft. Now to the opposite, compare them to Sergio Martinez when he fought that dude in 2023. He's like 47 or something in that match and absolutely shredded. No drug testing was done leading up to that fight, that's for sure, lol.

But mainly, although it's an Interesting idea, the problem is your assertion that old guys top the lists because of steroids. If everybody is using, that means young guys too. And a good young fighter on roads beats a good old fighter on roads. The playing field is level again, but at a higher level.

Gear makes all athletes better than without it. But an old roided guy still won't be at the level of a young roided guy.
OP missed this rather obvious, logical point.

Everyone in every sport is performing better into later ages. The general population is aging differently. There is a far greater understanding of exercise and nutrition, compared to a few decades ago. I just turned 59. When I was a kid in the 70s and 80s, you never saw ripped and muscled men my age. Very few people of any age worked out regularly. Now it’s very common. I’m a little out of it right now; but at 54, I was in eye-popping shape. I see men my age these days, and even older, that inspire me to get back into top form. The more people you see like that the more you will see, because they prove it’s possible and inspire others.
