Every time that gets mentioned, I get the temptation to add that Canelo was 29 yrs old when he fought Kovalev, while Crawford is 37 turning 38 this fall. Canelo has already fought at 168 the year prior to fighting at 175 for the first time, while Crawford fought at 154 the year prior going to 168 for the first time with no experience at 160.

Fair enough, Canelo was certainly in his prime when he did that jump, but Im pretty sure he only had the Chavez jr fight at at 164 catchweight prior, technically he was still campaigning at 160 but hey man Canelo has been around taking big fights since he was 22 yo, not his fault Crawford a late starter. Yes, Bud is about to turn 38...but still undefeated in his game.
