Dubois humiliating Joshua wasn’t much of an upset to anyone paying attention. Neither was Bakole Anderson

Yep, that's fair. Munguia's asset has always been his chin. His weakness has always been his horrible defense. But folks figure if Derev and Canelo can't crack him, what hope does a noname have?

              Upset it is!

What makes this so special is homeboy only had 5 KOs
MFers couldn't wait to come to NSB saying Munguia got KTFO.
                  Um, no.
                  He got AJ'd.
                  The ref waved it off.

DD was a much livelier dog than Surace by far.

"Surace came into the ring as a massive plus-1200 underdog and Munguia was a minus-2500 favorite. As wide as those odds are, it still doesn't quite put into perspective what the 26-year-old Frenchman did on Saturday night."

This was my first and probably last time to be the first person to start an independent thread from the fight by fight thread. No one was in the FBF thread and seems no one was really watching. Hell, I wasn't even going to watch; I was just waiting on my laundry to finish. Shocked the absolute hell out of me when it happened. I thought Surace would back down after the KD in the 2nd; instead I watched a man slowly adjust to Munguia's pressure and land a perfect shot. Surace gets massive credit for that shot and it is upset-deserved, but his adjustments leading up to it I think have been underrated. Munguia is not hard to figure out and yet Canelo and Derevyanchenko just couldn't slow his moron pressure. You can literally see Surace noticing his mistakes leading up to the punch. It took me looking past that perfect shot to see that it was also a good boxing performance.

Dude did this with 4 measly KOs (fighting absolute nobodies) going into the bout. You best believe he deserves a spot on that list somewhere.

IIRC, he was also coming up in weight for the first time as well...
