This is the HW era for a decent guy like Usyk to shine.
He would have major problems with busier, more accurate HWs from earlier eras.

Nah, he's not comparable to Ali and Lewis and quite a few others, let's not get carried away here.

He's done great things though, and I applaud him.

The thing that wasn't mentioned here was the ingenious way Usyk handled Fury when he decided to pull him into clinches as a strategy. Just as Fury would grab him Usyk would tag him with a good short, meaningful shot as he was being pulled toward Fury, adding to the impact of the strike. I thought it was a really smart, effective response, and it made Fury rethink that strategy. I thought it was a good fight, in spite of Fury resorting to his usual dirty tactics, leaning his weight on Usyk after pulling him in, and grabbing behind his head and pulling him down into uppercuts. He should have had points taken, IMO. As far as Usyk being compared to the ATGs, or Lewis for that matter, I would have loved to see how they would fare against a prime Joe Frazier, who had a bottomless tank and did not seem to tire over 15 rounds. He just attacked and poured on punches all night. Frazier was a nightmare for everyone but George Foreman.

The Best heavyweight of his era, 'Sure'. An all time great, I can agree based on his accomplishments but as for where he ranks on all time heavyweight, hard to place. Mythically, I doubt if Usyk beats an Ali, Foreman, Frazier, Lennox Lewis, Joe Louis, Holmes, Holyfield or even then a Prime Tyson. I also can't ignore that fact he fought in an era that arguably maybe the worst or the second worst behind the Klitchko era where the conqueror is a Tyson Fury who's best wins are against a flawed Wilder and a timid Klitschko. That said, he is tactical and perhaps could hold his own but I don't believe he will have all the advantages in quickness, activity and IQ that he enjoys in this era.

The only I know is that Usyk was knocked down by Dubious with a valid shot and was favored by the referee and the other influential powers...We know now the trending is Ukraine.

He would have given them major problems too.

I think the only thing we know is that Usyk would be competitive with any all time greats. He has shown that despite all odds. Anything else beyond that is pure speculation, can never be proven and settled and always comes down to who your favourite fighters are. Like p4p, all time great is purely hypothetical and is just an interesting discussion topic that can never be proven in the ring.
