Fury is a good fighter and a great talker. Usyk is a great fighter but not a great talker. The fight was won by Usyk. He moved better, took more chances and fought like he was the champion. I had the fight 7-5 rounds in favor of Usyk. Usyk came in with a game plan whereas Fury came in to look better than he did in the first fight that they had.
Fury needs to consider finding another trainer that Sugarhill Steward. Ben Davidson did a better job of training Fury. Fury can now fight AJ. That will be a good money- making grab for him. Both AJ and Fury loss twice to Usyk so they have that in common.
Totally non-biased here.
That score was TRASH. Throw your bias aside. That was a close fight. Throw your Fury hate aside. That was a close fight.
Usyk is an all time great. Fury fought so incredibly well against a guy that takes away all of your weapons. There were rounds Fury really won that he didn't get.
Name them.
And I assume the ones he did get, you believe he really won too?
Because this post sounds like you didn't score the fight.
I gave Fury the 5th, and it's arguable about the second, as he was losing the round and then scored with a single shot that got Uysk's attention. I don't know whether I'd give Fury round 2 for that one punch, but I will do to be generous and that means he won 2 rounds all night. I can see the argument for having the 12th a draw also.
It's incredible the amount of bias and one eyed-ness many fans have (and the commentary team, where it was breaking their heart to have to admit that Fury had lost that fight by the late rounds). To seriously make a case that Fury won that fight you have to be either a lair or a one eyed fury fan.
My takeaway from the two fights is that Fury is not the same fighter after the Wilder trilogy.
Mine is that Usyk is better than Fury.
Fury probably isn't the same fighter he was a few years ago. But I haven't seen anything from him that makes me think he'd have the tools to beat Usyk.
He's a big awkward boxer and was never a puncher. Wilder made him look more of a threat because Fury stopped him twice. But Wilder didn't usually go in with decent opposition - they were overrated (but good in divisional context) wins.
Usyk is a brilliant boxer who will just keep outboxing the lesser boxer.
And I assume the ones he did get, you believe he really won too?

I did not think he won. I don't think that is due to the subjectivity of scoring and that was a challenging fight to score. The reason I think the scoring was trash is that all judges have it the same, I am watching the fight with three boxers and three of us who have watched boxing our entire lives and who scored the fight the entire time, and everyone had it closer than it was. I imagine you are a Fury hater and that is clouding your judgement and that is ok. It is Christmas and grace and mercy is amazing. You have a right to your opinion, But I was busy having fun and scoring it in my head and will not have the time for a few days to respond by putting it down on paper.
