Makes me wonder why he wants to marinate something where he's likely not to survive seeing if he waits too long IMO...I'd think the opposite and cram in as much big fights even if too early and don't worry about the future.

Granted, in case of MJ I also think there is a possibility that Eddie not showing willingness to negotiate with or respect Ohashi's plans in Japan plus simply unwilling to play 2nd fiddle to Arum and give his guy up on a Top Rank show without getting a good deal had an effect as well. Arum and Eddie not being buddies isn't news at this point, and yet not sure due to what reason, but it also seems like MJ/Eddie hasn't been very keen on the idea of negotiating with Ohashi for an Ohashi-sanctioned Japan card where Arum doesn't have too much control over. Another thing is that although Ohashi doesn't directly say it, I think Eddie having tried to play the shenanigans with the WBA "order" that came well ahead of due date which obviously came with full intent of making just Inoue fight on the Matchroom UK card with Joshua-Dubois (and as a result completely destroying rest Ohashi's September card) really irritated Ohashi more than he's shown. If Eddie had any intent of trying to negotiate with Ohashi and let MJ alone fight in Japan, he won't have commented immediately after the order was given on how "it would be great to have Inoue-MJ join in with the Wembley Joshua card in September" when practically everyone already knew Inoue and Ohashi had a venue set in Japan in the same month as Wembley with the undercard in full negotiations, and a matter of who Inoue's opponent would've been. It was basically him stating that he intends to go straight to purse bid and get Saudi money involved, and had no intent of just letting MJ slide into Ohashi's September card as the main event which would've been something that Ohashi could definitely consider.

Either way, this isn't me saying I am happy of the choice of Picasso...if it was me then MJ is getting his spanking on Vegas. It is me saying that given promotional shenanigans and other motivations I've unfortunately come to accept the reality that April/May will sadly be Picasso, and my hope for Inoue-MJ lies on the hands of Turki in the fall 2025 card in Saudi because MJ doesn't want to fight in Japan.
