Waste of time and resources. Money is better spent on upcoming stars to spread the wealth around, and not go again into the pockets of already wealthy individuals.

Crawford barely got by Madrimov at 154. Unless Canleo drains to 160 I do not see how this fight is remotely competitive. It will be Floyd vs Marquez all over again.

Until Terrence Crawford becomes the Undisputed Champion at 154 pounds 'And then beats a top level Super Middle Weight fighter. The matchup between Terrence Crawford and Canelo Alvarez, does not really make much sense for Alvarez'.

Note: It definitively is not a circus fight, because? Terrence Crawford is an undefeated fighter 'And clearly one of the best pound for pound fighters in the world. Crawford in terms of pure ability skill for skill, may only be rated below Oleksandr Uysk in the pound for pound rankings. Those two fighters in a pound for pound best fighter debate, around the world are most likely alternating between 1 and 2'.

But Terrence Crawford no matter how good is skills are, is quite a distance off challenging Canelo Alvarez 'Crawford quite simply has not proven himself to be a big enough danger to Alvarez in the higher weight classes'.

Terrence Crawford desires to challenge Canelo Alvarez, because? At this stage of his career, Crawford does not want to be involved in fights were he is the favourite to win. That seems to be his intrinsic motivation, to continue competing in the sport.

All of Crawford's nearest competition at 147 to 154 pounds, NONE of them would be favourite to beat Terrence Crawford 'And there are no active fighters in those divisions, that really in terms of greatness? Would be adding anything to Crawford's resume, they are all just fighters that would increase his winning statistics'.

To conclude: So, overall as the situation is right now 'Terrence Crawford vs Canelo Alvarez, is not a circus fight. But people need to acknowledge and recognize that Crawford is the challenger here, who needs to prove that he is a legitimate danger for Canelo Alvarez in the higher weight classes'.

The pathway towards a fight with Canelo Alvarez is not super clear, but? I think most people within the boxing community, are aware of what Crawford needs to achieve to make that a legitimate fight. He must become the Undisputed Champion at 154 pounds, and then beat one of the top level fighters in the Middle to Super Middle Weight Divisions'.

Once Terrence Crawford has achieved those feats, most likely people's perceptions of the Crawford vs Alvarez match ups will dramatically alter. Because Terrence Crawford would of proven himself as a legitimate threat towards Canelo Alvarez' etc.

He even said himself last year 154 is his max when asked about Canelo. He then saw fans hyping him up vs Canelp. That is when he then changed his tune also started entertaining Canelo fight publicly, as realised hype it up with the fans as its a potential big payday. Good to see others not jump on the hype and know its a circus mismatch.

Bud is elite. It's not just the fact he has been a 147lbs fighter with just 1 non dominant fight at 154, what no one else mentions is his activity. Everyone else i see people mention their inactivity when they fight once or less a year.

Bud has fought only 5 times in 5 years. In that time Canelo has dominated 168 with 9 fights 9 wins in 5 years inc 1 fight at 175lbs. Double the amount of Bud. Although he lost to Bivol, Canelo has fought at 175lbs and been champ yet you had people calling for him to fight a 147lber.

Hopefully fight does not happen. Bud isn't making 168, i know you can weigh in less but i think even 160 is too big for him.

The fights Bud should be in are 154 champs, or fight Charlo, Charlo was still undisputed at 154.

This is the only way for the fight to happen, they both have to meet at 160.

Casuals will eat this up regardless.

Oh, that's an easy one! Crawford is 37 and clearly near the end of his career, with only one big payday in his career vs Spence. A fight vs Canelo is like hitting the freaking lottery! Naturally, win, lose, or draw, Bud wants to retire off the earnings from this fight.

But Ginger's titles are at 168. Bud is after titles at 168 for legacy and money obviously. The whole purpose of moving up in weight is to challenge for a title or to win a fight that will put you in a position to fight for a title. Neither man gains anything fighting at 160...
