Canelo is the A side and he determines whether this fight happens or not. That's why I'm asking about canelos options.
bud options if no canelo are just fine. So if canelo says no. Bud has fundora, Ortiz, Bakhram, charlo, boots, Spence rematch as options.
Canelo options if no bud and no benavidez are scully, mbilli, drunk charlo
And you said the Mexican's paycheck is the same no matter who he fights. But he made 30 millliin for berlanga. He'd make 70 million for bud.
im not beating the drum for a canelo vs bud fight. Im simply telling you why bud is the biggest name opponent canelo can fight since he ducking benavidez.
Any non objective fan can see that
This guy is talking fantasy. And this is what this sport has gone down into. You could tell he's thinking of Turki money. Which is assumed to be just charity money for two boxers with no thought of making any profit. How in the heck any investor would get that gargantuan amount of money back?

How about asking PBC/Haymon to make the fight in America? Turki made offers to Ennis and Crawford for the Ortiz fight. They both turned it down. So the next choice for Crawford if he and his fans like you want it, why not do it in America with investors in America?

The rematch clause hasn't been activated yet and it stands to reason that Ginger could easily give Munguia some step aside money. Surace could also decide to not honor the rematch clause in which case he'd get sued, but the amount would be significantly less than what he stands to make fighting Ginger.

      I'm just hypothetically speaking though....

I don't think it's a circus fight, but I wouldn't favor Bud to win it. He's trying to take on a challenge worth getting up and going to training for when you're at the tail end of your career and about to call it a day. That and bring in the most bag you can before retirement hits. There probably is no bigger name for Bud right now than Canelo. He gets a shot to add more to his legacy and if it doesn't work out, collect plenty of out the door money in the process.

1st- Those are the numbers canelo was throwing around buddy. 75 to 200 million for bud and Benavidez. So stop acting like I made up these figures. Canelo made up these figures.

2nd- canelo vs bud would be in america. That's already been established. Turki made that clear. the initial plan was los Angeles with pitbull vs Shakur as the undercard. So stop with the bullshi investor excuse. If turki wants to pay 100 million for a canelo fight. So be it

Like I said before bud is a better option for fans buying ppv and for canelos bank account than Eubank, mbilli, scully, jermall.

Bud can just unify at 154 if canelo says no.

This wouldn't even be a discussion if canelo was fighting the biggest fight boxing has to offer which is Canelo vs Benavidez.

Like I said, I could care less if bud vs canelo happens. I'm telling you what makes the most sense and cents for canelo. Bud has no say so in this. He's the B side. It's either a yes or no from the A side

I mean, we've seen stranger things happen in boxing. So it's not impossible

Not impossible but as you stated, Canelo stands to make more if he fights Bud. I wonder what the minimum amount Canelo would accept to fight Bud is and what Is the most Turki would pay both fighters for the fight to happen?

People who believe those numbers are delusional. The ginger kid is just like any gullible schmoe like you and others thinking Turki has unfettered access and authority to Saudi oil money and he could buy Greenland. $75 mil and $200 mil are fantasies. You're just confirming what I already mentioned earlier.

Folks think that Turki has endless pockets which he doesn't. The money that he's been using thus far is the Royal Family's or the Government's. He can't just be dishing out $70-200 million because he's a boxing enthusiast. He's been told by his bosses that he is no longer to spend Saudi money outside of Riyadh Season/out of country.

Ginger is only interested in fighting during May and September so the Royal Family's money will not be used to fund those Canelo's fights on those dates. However, Turki has stated that he will be putting fights together outside of Riyadh with his own money, and although he might be super rich, he's not gonna foolishly dish out the amount of money Canelo is asking for plus Crawford's cut just to make the fight happen.

When Turki is spending his own money, he will definitely try to mitigate the losses and weigh his options on wether or not to pay that amount. $150-200 million to make a fight happen will not be a drop in the bucket even for Turki....

To make money off of dumb casuals, that's it.

What Canelo should do is move back down to Middleweight and become undisputed.

Crawford needs to KO fake champ, hypejob Booty Ennis.

After that, Canelo or Crawford can KO ass clown, fake YouTuber Jake Paul for lots of money.

I don't like this fight at all. Would have sooner seen canelo vs benevidez and bud unify at 154.

That being said, crawford will definitely take a fair few rounds off him
