The rematch clause hasn't been activated yet and it stands to reason that Ginger could easily give Munguia some step aside money. Surace could also decide to not honor the rematch clause in which case he'd get sued, but the amount would be significantly less than what he stands to make fighting Ginger.

I don't think it's a circus fight, but I wouldn't favor Bud to win it. He's trying to take on a challenge worth getting up and going to training for when you're at the tail end of your career and about to call it a day. That and bring in the most bag you can before retirement hits. There probably is no bigger name for Bud right now than Canelo. Not impossible but as you stated, Canelo stands to make more if he fights Bud. I wonder what the minimum amount Canelo would accept to fight Bud is and what Is the most Turki would pay both fighters for the fight to happen?

Folks think that Turki has endless pockets which he doesn't. The money that he's been using thus far is the Royal Family's or the Government's. He can't just be dishing out $70-200 million because he's a boxing enthusiast. He's been told by his bosses that he is no longer to spend Saudi money outside of Riyadh Season/out of country.

Ginger is only interested in fighting during May and September so the Royal Family's money will not be used to fund those Canelo's fights on those dates. However, Turki has stated that he will be putting fights together outside of Riyadh with his own money, and although he might be super rich, he's not gonna foolishly dish out the amount of money Canelo is asking for plus Crawford's cut just to make the fight happen.

When Turki is spending his own money, he will definitely try to mitigate the losses and weigh his options on wether or not to pay that amount. $150-200 million to make a fight happen will not be a drop in the bucket even for Turki....
