Mungia has been a KO waiting to happen for awhile now. I think all the clean shots he’s taken throughput his career finally caught up with him. That was a helluva punch by Bruno too. Look at Mungia’s defense or lack thereof in that moment. He was literally in no man’s land. Arms down, entire face exposed while in range.

Whether it was luck or skill (I argue a bit of both), it was never-the-less a perfect end result for a fighter who got away with cherry picking 40+ times. Bruno may or may not go on to do good/better things, let's see, but all respect to him for flying out of his comfort zone for the very first time and taking out an established name.

He was a ko waiting to happen, against an established fighter, not an unknown with 5 ko in 25 fights. He has been fighting this tier of boxers for all his career, and the ones with a little bit of recognition olds and past their prime.

But hey upsets do happen. Nothing to do with colors.

It had some steam on it, too. Curace's face lit up when he saw Munguia's chin right where he wanted it. He put extra effort into that shot.

Tell that to Jaime. He barely got to his feet, and he was clearly fooked when he did.

Actually, I just checked it out again. Jamie was looking right at Bruno winding up that shot. He probably didn't think it would land that hard though.

This was just a ****** defensive lapse by Jaime, walking out the side, hands down and the frog made him pay, hats off, all this talk of Jaime’s chin being done is sensationalism, man got caught is all. I’m sure he will be back and win the rematch
