They carefully look for an easy prey, someone with a clean record but not particularly powerful, the found one in France from a very tough city, all the elements were there to elevate munguia to the highest, and boom, another cherry pick gone wrong. A least you have to smile, the sacrifice lamb turned out to be a wolf
I mean Mungia was a Ko waiting to happen but no one could predict a unknown french dude with 5 Ko to be that guy. No excuses, Mungo got too confident ,wanted to give TJ a show and got caught slippin. Upsets are good for Boxing. Now that Surace gets in the mix out the blue.

But hey upsets do happen. Nothing to do with colors.
OK my bad I'm just a little hype right now because I'm waiting for GB4LIFE to come in and say some ****. My bad haha

You have a certified biscuit chin if you get iced by a dude with 4 KO's

Carlos Baldomir's decision win over Zab Judah also stands out; I'm sure Judah didn't give a chance to Baldomir and thought it was an easy win, can't remember anyone giving Baldo a chance.

            True
Lamon might have been more than a stay busy fight, but he wasn't supposed to stand a chance.

I pointed out strictly KO upsets.

              Hardly
              Let's not exaggerate.
He's been hit harder and survived.

Teo Kambosos would be high on my list too.
Pac was robbed, but, how does Pac let a part time school teacher rob him ?!?!?
Horn was supposed to be a walk in the park.

                Was Kambosos a cherry ?

But there was nothing lucky about the way Surace took advantage of the chance Munguia gave him. He reacted instantly, with speed, power and precision. And if he hadn't worked hard on his conditioning, as well as his technique, in the gym, he wouldn't have come back from that knock down and still been there in the 6th. Full credit to him.
Lack of respect for an under dog will sometimes, NOT OFTEN, result in unexpected endings.
                  Happened to Kostya Jr
The stars aligned perfectly for Surace.
Probably won't ever happen again if he fought 50 more times.

Yet, he survived harder shots from bigger hitters.

                    • Munguia is a reckless fighter that blocks punches with his face. The punishment that he took over the years wore him out. He doesn't have multiple gears in his game to deal with different things when what he does stops working. He was never a top level fighter.
