Well, I don't know about the rest of the fans, I'm not pleased but surprised. They carefully look for an easy prey, someone with a clean record but not particularly powerful, the found one in France from a very tough city, all the elements were there to elevate munguia to the highest, and boom, another cherry pick gone wrong. A least you have to smile, the sacrifice lamb turned out to be a wolf

Agree 100%, except that with Brewster Wlad just spent all his bullets quickly and gassed out because of said medical issues. I doubt also that it was a stay busy fight, Brewster was known to be a hard challenge.

Carlos Baldomir's decision win over Zab Judah also stands out; I'm sure Judah didn't give a chance to Baldomir and thought it was an easy win, can't remember anyone giving Baldo a chance.

Munguia hesitated and left his chin exposed in front of an opponent who was poised and ready to throw. That was a lucky break for Surace. But there was nothing lucky about the way Surace took advantage of the chance Munguia gave him. He reacted instantly, with speed, power and precision. And if he hadn't worked hard on his conditioning, as well as his technique, in the gym, he wouldn't have come back from that knock down and still been there in the 6th. Full credit to him.

Lack of respect for an under dog will sometimes, NOT OFTEN, result in unexpected endings.

Munguia is a reckless fighter that blocks punches with his face. The punishment that he took over the years wore him out. He doesn't have multiple gears in his game to deal with different things when what he does stops working. He was never a top level fighter.
