Benavidez didn't activate mando cuz it didn't suit Haymon's interests.

Canelo would've dropped the belt and Haymon would've (probably) lost Canelo, who was and still is more important to Haymon than B'videz.
    That's the reality.
I don't admire your ignorance and dishonesty. Denying Benavidez a fight with Canelo does not benefit Haymon who manages Benavidez. That's an obtuse claim on your part. Benavidez team made multiple offers to fight Canelo who rejected them and claimed he would only fight Benavidez for 200 million.

At the same time, it should be remembered that Benavidez said at the time that Canelo turned down a juicy offer for them to fight face to face.

"It was more than 45 million dollars. That was the money that Al Haymon and PBC were offering for the fight against Canelo. I see a lot of people saying you don't make offers to the A-side, but $45 million is a world of money. People want to see that fight, the company was backing me. That's why I thought we could make the fight happen, but they went in another direction.... It's one thing for them to turn down the offer and wait another year to make the fight and make more money, but they didn't even respond. Imagine he has an offer on the table for 45 million dollars and nobody answers. I don't know what else to say,"

There was no need for Benavidez to "activate" his mandatory when he was already the mandatory for 3 years. The WBC didn't enforce the mandatory and that's why it didn't happen. THAT'S the reality. Any other narrative is either your ignorance on the subject or you're just a liar.

Canelo business is way bigger for Haymon than B'videz business.
      What's so hard to understand?

Why is Canelo still champ at 168 with the WBC and WBA when he ducked both mandatories, girl? Why was Lomachenko still champ and allowed to duck his mandatories, girl?

Don't like facts? Or do they have the complexion for your protection? LOL

Haymon doesn't manage Canelo. He manages Benavidez. So again you're either just showing your ignorance or you're lying. Which is it?

Please point out where Haymon's main interest is hanging on to Canelo. Now that you've been exposed for spewing misinformation you can stop with the lies.

The pact called for the Mexican icon to fight Charlo's twin brother, Jermall, on May 4. However, Canelo and PBC couldn't agree to terms for the matchup on Cinco de Mayo weekend sources said, which allowed Alvarez contractually to explore other options going forward.

The third fight of the deal was set to take place against a mutually-agreed-upon opponent, sources said.

Now if this was a rematch against Crawford at 154lb then fine I could see that.

I think he's punch drunk at this point.
On the flip side though, they have guys like Slawa Spomer, Adrian Marcelo Sasso etc as ranked contenders so they aren’t exactly setting the bar high.

Do I really have to explain why many fans say that the WBO stands for What Bob Orders?

That's fair. He's never even fought at the weight.
