Americans hate Bobby, in part, because he says he is an atheist.I was shocked, disgusted & appalled when Kamara Harris proudly said she owned a gun. Difference between europe & USA, we don't want our leaders to believe in God & we won't accept them handling guns.

I generally like reading your comments but this time you are way, WAY off base.
You might notice that most of the posts in this thread remember Bobby with appreciation and respect.
That's for his contributions to the sport as a true warrior and decent human being.
Here's something that real Americans believe in: whether or not you believe in god is one's own decision and choice.
Regarding Harris and her loss in the election, it had nothing to do with her being a gun owner, and everything to do with her being just a terrible candidate and being unqualified in almost every way for the job of president.
Please stick to boxing and leave your childish America-bashing ideas to yourself.
By the way, if it weren't for hundreds of thousands of dead Americans, you would be speaking German right now.

Very good comment &, fair play, I was out of order. I can only say that I've read pieces where Bobby himself has said he is an outspoken atheist & he feels he has been discriminated against because of that.

You are right. This is a boxing site. I have utmost respect for Bobby who won titles at 2 different weights & beat some damn good men along the way. I will probably most remember him for his losses to 'Prince' Charles Williams. Those were top quality fights.
