Comments Thread For: Emanuel Navarrete-Rafael Espinoza is on promoters' wish list

Whether they get to it next or not is still to be determined, but what's foremost on the minds of the men who promote Emanuel Navarrete and Rafael Espinoza is that they must fight each other.

It's a good match up, and I like Espinoza but styles makes fights and Navarrete style is all wrong for Espinoza. If I was Espinoza I would take a different fight and warm up to the 130 division.

I'm guessing Espinoza would duck this fight. Similar to Ennis swerving Ortiz.

I'd have Espinoza unify at 126 against Figueroa if he beats Fulton. At 130 if either Navarette or Espinoza need a warmup fight they could fight Rocky Hernandez who gave Foster a tremendous fight.

Espinoza against Figueroa/Fulton II winner would be great, but wouldn't PBC try to prevent from making it happen?

Angelo Leo is also at top rank

you are probably right - Haymon is not a fan friendly promoter when it comes to cross promotions

Would had been a great match up though, think Figueroa edges it against Fulton in the rematch.

Turki could also make Espinoza (6'1) vs Nick Ball (5'2). Too bad Jacob Matlala (4'10) isn't around to fight that tallest Featherweight champion so far.

The face-off at weigh-in would be classic. Ball could get DQ'd on low blows. He'd just have to hammer away at the body. Espinoza would be trying to uppercut Ball every minute of the fight and I'm guessing would get a KO at some point
