The proof is in the pudding, right after the sequence you mentioned, he complained to the ref and his eye started to swell on the lower part of his eye, what is it call that part? Orbital bone? Another thing is, the ref wasn't in a position to see the left but he did saw the right and he warned espinoza. The guy is dirty, plain and simple. Very seldom in boxing they do the right thing, but I think Ramirez’s team should a least ask for a hearing with the WBO and the Arizona commission. espinoza put this man on danger with illegal punches. Actually, they should have going to the scorecards because of the 4 rounds rule. The ref should have checked Ramirez’s eye and call the foul.
Robeisy Ramirez Reportedly Has An Orbital Fracture

Thanks for the efforts Cu****uyNYC!
I'm of the opinion that Espinoza did try to use his elbows intentionally at least twice, but I must admit that I'm not sure the stills you just posted prove the orbital fracture. When watching that minute of the round in particular, it appeared that Espinoza missed with a right cross and Ramirez leads in with his head causing Espinoza's forearm to slide along the right side of the face of Ramirezending with the elbow making contact. I don't think the elbow makes contact in a striking way though.
I don't want to call Espinoza a dirty fighter but I have to acknowledge that some of his tactics were indeed questionable. I'm a fan of Floyd and must admit that he also snuck in elbows at times. Trinidad also landed some low blows in times were he was in trouble. It's roughhousing that can be considered part of the sport. Some fighters use it more than others but I've yet to see a fighter that never landed a questionable low blow or shot..Comment

Agreed. Supposedly Salas told Robeisy to go out in the sixth and “see how he feels.” Took a shot right in the affected eye almost immediately. Lol I gotta laugh on that one. The timing was just too much. Lol But it would make sense. If you’ve got double-vision in one eye, you’re likely to miss an incoming blow to that side. I’ve said it a few times now: It’s all easy to say in hindsight, but the trainer should’ve complained in-between rounds and asked for a ring doctor to examine the eye. Salas is a very experienced man; he truly messed up here. Anyway, if you’re interested, you can find the telling moment at 20:36 in the full fight video on YouTube. I believe it looks worse in real-time. Ramirez looks at the ref momentarily, as if in protest, but continues to fight. There was still about 2:16 left in the round.Comment

I missed it in real time. Looking at the video now I realize that Kriegel was giving his score and assessment of the fight at that point, and the announcers didn’t have an opportunity to bring the moment to our attention. (Assuming they caught it themselves.) The fight went on; and unless you saw the elbow as it happened, you were likely to be at a loss as to where the injury took place. Adding to the confusion, Robeisy was mistaken about which round it occurred (he said it was the fourth, when in actuality it was the fifth); but it’s normal for a fighter to lose track of what round he’s in. Ramirez was winning the fight up to that point, and wasn’t taking any punishment. The right that landed on his eye at the start of the sixth didn’t appear to be anything extraordinary. I don’t see any reason for Robeisy to quit other than that elbow strike damaging his eye. Anyway, it is what it is.Comment

I want to commend you for being a reasonable fight fan and not a hater or a nut rider. You are obviously a fan of Ramirez and of the same Nationality and approached the conversation respectfully without bias. Wish more posters were like you, instead we get lots of hate or excuses at all cost because of the extreme bias due to nationality, culture etc...

But I do hope he gets rid of his whole cornerComment
