In MMA, Liddell wouldn't be ****** enough to punch with Floyd. He would shoot for a takedown and get it. He's a former division 1 wrestler, he competed for four years.
Mayweather never wrestled, is 147 whereas Liddell is 205 and has been training wrestling for 20 years, grappling for about 15 years.

Liddell wins by submission or ground and pound.

    In boxing, Mayweather kills him.

Is this a serious question? People are saying Cotto is too big for Pacquiao, but Mayweather will knockout an MMA legend who outweighs him by 60+ pounds in an MMA fight? Floyd wouldn't last 30 freaking seconds against the Iceman. Liddell was a college wrestler, with a black belt in Kenpo Karate, well trained in kickboxing and has a purple in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Boxing fans like to write guys like Liddell off as bar fighters. But even though Liddell has some major punching power, Floyd's boxing craft is light years ahead of Liddell's. But we're talking an MMA match. How can someone like a 147 lb. Floyd take a punch from a hard hitting 205 pounder? I like MMA, but I love boxing more, I just won't let my favoritism blind my common sense.

Well, Floyd is smart. He wouldn't be caught dead in this situation, but if he was forced, Floyd's strategy wouldn't be to get points. He would have seen the same footage everyone else has seen...and he would know that given enough time, Liddel would go for the takedown. So Floyd would have to knock Liddel out in the first several seconds of the fight while avoiding Liddel's comparatively lumbering shots. Which I think he probably could. He's fast as all get out, and punches better than Rashad. He'd catch Liddel coming in with a BIG left hook.

Good night Liddel. Welcome back to dreamland.

If that doesnt work he'd go on tv and say Liddell doesnt want it with him. That poor Liddell is getting forced into an unwinnable situation because Dana White is his boss but Floyd Mayweather jr is his own boss

So how may CWs has Floyd, who has 5 stoppages in his 13 fights above 130, knocked out exactly?

In a boxing match, Floyd outboxes him, but of course Liddel is going to take him to the ground, where I don't think the shoulder roll is too effective.

                  FIFTY FIVE POUNDS DIFFERENCE.

                    Unfair comparison.. because..

Liddel doesn't have nearly the defense or chin of any boxer I can think of that has fought floyd in a while.

Plus, Floyd would be wearing those tiny mma gloves... no padding practically. Which would make his punches more devastating.

right, I agree that the fight would be very short, either way. Floyd would have to catch Liddel when Chuck is coming in with either a punch, or a takedown. Which I think Floyd could do, all things considering.

LOL, it would take no more than a novice takedown maneuver and submission hold to beat Floyd in a matter of seconds, a minute max!! Boxing rules it's all Mayweather but with MMA, Floyd is toast.
