Think Valdez will pull it off, Navarrete is already contemplating retirement according to his interview at Top Rank due to his inability to cut weight appropriately. In the first bout, Valdez also started well at the start until Navarrete upped his activity, making his awkward style more difficult to handle as the shots coming off from any angle were more difficult to telegraph.

Now Oscar has a better understanding of his opponent style and acknowledged he can't use the same gameplan as managing distance in the backfoot as a counter puncher like he did with Berchelt, as Navarrete tends to capitalize on his reach and lounges in at a safe distance where Oscar's can't reach him.

I'm going with Espinoza and Navarrete. I feel like Robeisy can be inconsistent. I also think he's a bit of a front runner. Maybe he's motivated for this one but Espinoza just seems to have more conviction.

I didn't think the first Navarrete/Valdez fight was compelling enough to warrant a rematch. Maybe Navarrete's heart isn't on it nowadays but I just don't see Valdez taking him.

That's what I was aiming for.

TBH , I didn't really care for the " new" Barrera after the Hamed fight , but his fights with Junior Poison Jones , Kennedy McKinney , and El Terrible Erik Morales were incredible. To me that was the best Barrera , certainly the most exciting.

Barrera and morales running it back gave boxing fans 3 of the best fights the sport has ever seen. Miss that era of competitiveness and wanting to face the best regularly. That mindset is primarily a thing of the past these days.
