Comments Thread For: "It's win or win:" Oscar Valdez bent on redemption

Oscar Valdez hears the talk. Reads the headlines. Win or retire. That's the message from pundits and social media just days before he faces Emanuel Navarrete for a second time Saturday night at Footprint Center. But don't expect a retirement party, Valdez says. At least, not one on his behalf.

I hope this makes for a great rematch. Neither one is ever really in a boring fight. At least not Navarrete.

Redemption would be very satisfying to watch. Pulling for Valdez.

looking forward to this one , it's a matchup all but guaranteed to produce a seriously fan friendly fight. I like both fighters and it's not easy to root against Valdez but I'm going with my dog Navarette. I just hope that whatever was wrong with him against Berinchyk has passed , I could have sworn that he was drunk in that fight.

Discipline was what was wrong with him. It’s tough to get that back. We’ll see.

Both are fantastic fighters, I've always found their fights entertaining win or lose but I'm hoping for the redemption storyline and a win for Valdez!
