Ennis has been ducking fights long before he joined Matchroom. Literally turned down an offer to fight Bud "out of loyalty to Showtime" which ain't even in the boxing business now. How's that for loyalty? Bozy has turned dangerous fights down before without even telling Jaron. He's earned his Duck badge.

Ortiz on the other hand. Name one fighter he ducked. Nearly died trying to fight Stanionis at 147. I doubt anyone can name a single fighter he didn't say yes to.

Ennis' supporters and fans naturally swerve the blame on Hearn, Hoya, Turki, their dogs, except Boots.

Even if those are true, Jaron still had to do something. Negotiations are not final. That's why they're called negotiations. Question is, do you want the fight or not? Everything else is irrelevant.

Don't really know what the big deal is about not knowing anything about the negotiations. Now you knew. Now what?

Guys like Espinoza continue to enable this type of attitude from Boots & team.
I agree with everything you've stated, although I still think he's a talented fighter, the best at 147 and on the level of most of the cats at 154. It would have been nice to have seen him exhibit his skills against Virgil... I'm disappointed in his decision, but still a fan....

Nah no swerving here. Boots is at fault because he does have the final say but he's with a promoter that's sending him mixed signals and shouldn't e en be trying to make fights for American boxers anyway because he's incompetent

Espinoza said the quiet part out loud.... "I think he was concerned about what the future of PBC would be and their ability to keep him busy" . No shyt captain obvious, Ennis went elsewhere after watching Keith, Spence and Fundora sit around like overipen fruit.... and Andrade, Benny and Morrel forced to move up while stuck on the "other side of the street" for low pay fights that primarily benefit the PBC.

Everyone including Ennis know the PBC has a massive stable too big to keep busy with very few dates that have to charge $80 to cover with little or no guarantees and THAT is the real story. I expect Ennis to blame Eddie Hearn and so does Espinoza, it's a game and he's counting on it. In the end, Ennis was offered the career defining fight and the pay he claimed he's entitled to and instead decided to go the easier route... and that's on Ennis....there is no other way to spin that.

As for Espinoza, ever since Showtime cut him he's been saying a lot and nothing at the same time making trouble, he's the snake you don't see coming.

What gets me is Boots fans brag on what somebody else did. Bochuk did this and did that to Ortiz. I think they are waiting for Boots to turn into superman or they are Bochunk fans on the sly.

I think you're spot on, Ennis needs to do some damage control and quickly. There's nothing at 147 and just about anybody at 154 will give Jaron's decision context and a level of vindication. You should be his manager because the other guy can't manage a paper route.

                      More bullshlt excuses.
Bohachuk was supposed to fight Madrimov. I wonder what he's going to do instead ? Did Turki get him another opponent, or is he just out of luck ?
