Why are boxing fans so scared of MMA?

Reminds me of racism in America. People hating for no reason..only because they were ignorant and scared. Funny to come on to a boxing site to talk boxing and find yourself in a MMA hate thread...its pathetic. Dont worry boxing fans. the UFC and boxing in America can co exist. I've got no problem with MMA, I think it takes alot of skill and ablility to do what both boxers and MMA fighters do. That being said I don't consider it a good spectator sport, the only time i enjoy a MMA bout is when it's a stand up fight(and for that might as well watch boxing). Personally speaking I find nothing appealing about watching 2 men locked in a deep imbrace on the floor for several minutes at a time, seems more like gay **** to me.

I have never been to an MMA forum where at least one thread is made everyday about how boxing is boring or blah blah blah. You guys hate this **** so bad but you jump on the thread and reply to it. I like MMA but bro MMA fans are just as ignorant. If you go to an mma forum you'll hear 4 things from mma fans.

1. Boxing is a one dimensional sport. MMA has boxing plus more. This is utter bull**** because mma boxing is completely (or should I say incomplete) different.

2. I'm a boxing fan and I respect boxing. The second part might be true but the first is BS. If you haven't seen a boxing match since Tyson or only watch the superfights you are not a fan and don't know dick about it.

3. Anderson Silva is a great boxer.No he really isn't. If you watched boxing you would know that.

4. Boxing is dying. It's just two guys hitting eachother with pillows. This is just ignorant. I would love to see these highschool wrestlers who wear tapout shirts get hit flush by one of these guys and see if it feels like a pillow.

Basically you're talking about MMA in a place thats called NON STOP BOXING. Take it to the mma section. You wouldn't go to basketball forum and start talking about baseball or to a UFC forum and talk about WWE right?

Yeah...are you telling me in this day of age their are still disputes over MMA Vs. Boxing? That's about as out-dated as racism in America.
