Tank ain’t retiring, and definitely not for long if he does, but if he did hang the gloves up for good after 2025, after Roach, who would you prefer to see him fight next?

Lmfao at adding the Catchweight and rehydration for Ryan. If thats the case he'd add Catchweights and rehydration clauses for hankey, teofimo and rayo as well

he should have fought haney at 135 or 140 but now haney's big head ass probably wont make 140 anymore.
he should have fought loma and teofemo, he should have fought a lot of guys, he had a lot of names in and around his weight classes to make a legacy for himself and he chosed to do nothing. he could probably make 130 if he wanted. hes got the power to keep guys at 140 at bay. he had more opportunity than say a guy at 154 or 160 or even cruiserweight who dont have many names in their division and he squandered it all. so i dont really give a *** what he does because hes almost 30 and showed he doesnt have any interest in fighting these guys.
Look at the guys he COULD have fought:
loma
haney
shakur
rigo
teo
his resume would be stacked, he could have been lineal in like 3 divisions if he really wanted to. but he didnt even try.
If you look at pacquaio he has a better resume in like 2 years than tanks entire career, remember when he ran through barrera, morales and JMM all back to back basically, then you got guys like tank that want all the money and accolades but want to fight guys like frank martin while avoiding everyone in their divisions. this new generation of boxers are a joke. thank god theres still guys like a bivol around who will fight everyone.Last edited by elfag; 12-04-2024, 01:45 AM.

Literally anybody in the top 2 of any division, in the division they're ranked. He's never done it before.

Globally the fight to make is Vasily Lomachenko vs Gervonta Tank Davis 'Outside of that? There are really only domestic level American based fights, out there for Tank Davis'.
But people must understand? Due to the vastness of America, and the share participation levels in boxing 'A big domestic level fight in America, especially in the lower weight classes? Is most likely still going to be a solid fight. But not the mega level type of fight, which really Gervonta Tank Davis should be pursuing at this stage of his career'.
I am sure Gervonta Tank Davis has a demographic of loyal fans, who just want to see him win and fight 'Regardless of whether the fight is against Vasily Lomachenko, or potentially Devin Haney. Certain folk who are backing him, may only desire for his unbeaten run to continue in the game'.
Note: It is the actual sport of boxing, and the universal boxing community 'That demand, and want to see more from Tank Davis? Apparently he is one of the premier Champions, and best pound for pound fighters in the sport. This is how Gervonta Davis see's himself, as that level of a fighter'.
There is no doubt that Gervonta Davis is one of the premier boxing Champions in the sport of boxing 'And skill for skill, it is clear to see that he is pound for pound one of the best fighters in the sport. But in my opinion he has not really pushed himself, or entered anywhere near the level of Floyd Mayweather Junior or Manny Pacquiao'.
I would even rate fighters such as Miguel Cotto, and Shane Mosley above Gervonta Tank Davis on overall career feats achieved 'And pure boxing ability'.
To conclude: Gervonta Tank Davis has just entered into or is at 'His absolute peak in terms of ability, he really should have the ambition to climb mountains. But in all honesty? The man seems content with just accumulating win statistics, and continuing his unbeaten run in the game'.
If you track back, and analyse how fighters such as Floyd Mayweather Junior, Manny Pacquiao, Oscar De La Hoya, Shane Mosley, Miguel Cotto 'Were all behaving and approaching the sport at their absolute peak? None of those fighters were content with just being a Champion, unbeaten or getting a win. They very clearly wanted to challenge themselves, and to take on the most formidable feats in their competitive environment'.
Boxers challenge themselves every single time they fight, regardless 'Of what level they are competing that. The lifestyle which is expected of a top level boxer, is a challenging and at times ascetic existence. But there are competitors and fighters in the sport, who stand out and clearly aim to go beyond just the fundamental requirements that are needed to be a top level boxer. And it is when a fighter approaches the game with this type of attitude and passion, that is when they are truly pursuing greatness'.
I don't believe that Gervonta Tank Davis is pursuing greatness 'And that is just how I would summarise his attitude and conduct as World Boxing Champion'.
Note: I did not vote in the poll etc.
