No one knew Wilder was washed until Parker proved it with a 12 round shut out. All signs pointed to Wilder still being the Bronze Bomber up until he wasn't, and couldnt pull the trigger on his one trick shot.

Zhang's ability belies his age. He's a guy no one wanted a piece of til Parker took him the distance and cruised to an easy victory after Zhang gassed early and couldnt put Parker away despite dropping him twice.

Parker can only fight whomever is put in front of him. He's called out whomever, wherever, whenever. He's earnt his shot at a title way more than Dubois did.

But that's all by the by. Dubois is the champ and looking like one and Parker is looking like the ultimate challenger for his title.

I’d be rooting for Parker for nostalgic reasons but my gut tells me that DDD’s power would win this
Parker can take shots better than anyone Dubois has faced and apart from Usyk is the best boxer he's come up against.

Doobie needs to rely on more than just power to win. Headbutts will do the trick given he has form and Parker lost to Whyte by virtue of one.

I'm hoping Dubois head doesnt lead to the buttfest he got away with in dispatching Hrgovic.

DDD seems to be rejuvenated and looking the best I’ve seen from him
I still stick by my gut that power will be the difference in the fight
Also wouldn’t be totally surprised if all his last wars have taken a toll on Parker

Agreed. Better boxer. Possibly better stamina. But DDD is in the zone. This really is the 2nd best hw fight after Usyk v Fury.

Can he maintain that zone in a concerted campaign of Parker being nice and respectful to him in the build up ?

Doobie seems to need the animosity and in your face aggression by his opponents to succeed. He didn't get that from Joyce, Lerena or Usyk so his perfornance suffered.

AJ, Hrgovic and Miller brought out the stone cold assassin with their trash talk eliciting a 'win by any means possible' Dubois.

Parker would be a fool to do the same, so i'm picking he won't and that will make the difference, along with Lee and Lockhart.

If Dubois starts believing his own hype too much, it could be his downfall. Just ask Joshua.

I don't know, and that may or may not be as relevant as the physical attributes we mentioned.

I do think that even though DDD has been on a tear recently, and we're all glad for him, we're all probably wondering if it will last and if he'll end up quitting again at some point.

The fight is a great matchup though. We'll see how it plays out, but I'm looking forward to it more than most other recent fights.

All the excuses in the world don't change the fact that, in boxing terms, they are 2 old men.

I hope he does but I'm not too confident in that happening.

They're not excuses. Irrespective of age, they were legit top 10 contenders with a vast amount of experience between them who couldn't best Parker on the day.

They didn't use age as an excuse for losing. I don't know why you are except to diminish Parker's hard-earned and worthy victories.

Parker didn't beat them cos they were old. He beat them cos he's better.

Same as Klitschko, Povetkin and Pulev when they fought AJ then.
