Nope I'm not offended, I know you people are in a perpetual state of offense or looking to be offended but I'm not at all offended by opinions.

I'm just baffled by you being so disingenuous as to base your entire perception of Smith on his performance against Canelo given the extenuating circumstances.

Sorry I except a bit of logic and reason to be used, guess my expectations are too high.
What extenuating circumstances involving Canelo? If the fast turnaround was too much for him, why did he sign the contract?

What were the extenuating circumstances when John Ryder slapped Callum around?

Next to no notice, coming off a terrible performance and 13 months out of the ring and in his last fight at the weight.

As for Ryder you do realize apart from the Blackwell fight which is even in question because it was a Howard Foster stoppage.

Ryder arguably should've won all of his fights before DJ and there would be a strong case for said argument...

So that would put his losses at DJ, Canelo and Munguia if he wasn't almost always the away fighter, not bad for someone you're trying to denigrate just to further denigrate Smith.

As for the redundant question about why did he sign the contract, millions of reasons, I'm sure.

Apparently close to 10 million reasons, which he'll never see again in his career regardless of who he fights...

He made nowhere near $10M for Canelo. Put the pipe down. So you're saying that Callum turtled up like a 6'3" biiaaatttcch for 12 rounds because he had a short training camp?

Why would you think he got nowhere near "10m", not only was it reported he got $8-10M he was previously offered $5m before accounting his cut from PPV points, Sponsors, live gate etc etc by GBP...

And no it's not "just" a short camp, it's cutting down from over 200 pounds on short notice and the other things I mentioned, as well as the detached bicep during the fight.

As I said they're multiple factors but you continue to be disingenuous...

But it's not like I really care, Smith is dog water and so is Buatsi.

it's your insincerity when engaging in the back and forth that's "bothersome" (not really).

In all of these exchanges you've intentionally ignored parts (or the whole) of what has been said just to double down on your ignorant PoV.

Truth be told, ryder had three close fights with fielding, smith and armfield, but those are not world beaters, and before that he was stopped by Blackwell, and yes I think the refere jumped the gun too earlier, still, he was hurt by another domestic level fighter, so all in all, neither ryder nor Smith are world beaters. And yes he had a better showing against beterbiev than versus canelo, he looked to just survive against ginger.

I normally don't go back-and-forth with 19 year old turnips who just started watching boxing in 2008. It doesn't take much on the ball to realize that Callum Smith will soon retire or become a punching bag. If Buatsi loses to him, he should retire.

I've been watching boxing since before you were a twinkle in your fathers eye son but okay.

No one even mentioned retirement nor is anyone denying Smith will retire soon or the fact either guy should retire should they lose this fight.

Because they clearly aren't world level given said loss and it clearly doesn't bode well for either should they have future world level aspirations after said loss.

Particularly given the fact Smith has had multiple bites at the apple and Buatsi has waited for and passed up on opportunities for what he believes is the opportune moment to prove himself beyond domestic level.

It's hilarious to me you tried (and failed)to use age as a way to offend me when you argue like a child, you literally ignore all nuance to just reiterate how right you think you are just like a child would...

I know they aren't world beaters, they're both mediocre but the division itself isn't great and hasn't been since Ward/Froch/Kessler etc etc were active IMO

The guy I was originally engaging with intentionally ignores all nuance and also ignores imperative words, adds his own context to my words since our first engagement just to spew "smith turtle herp derp"...

It's truly bizarre stuff all because I said Smith put up a better fight against Beterbiev then he did against and Canelo got him on short notice in his last fight at the weight...

Truthfully, I didn't think that was controversial, I thought that was accepted as the truth.

I seriously doubt you've been watching boxing longer than I have, son. Youngsters like amuse me. You have slick mouths and very small brains. You're defending Callum Smith, a 6'3" fraudulent wright bully who turtled up against 5'8" Canelo and should have been fighting at 175 all along.
