Don't know if headbutt was intentional, but Amanda is the better fighter overall because she moved up 2 weight classes. That is not mentioned often enough. Katie is a little quicker and a great fighter, but Amanda is a better puncher. I rate Amanda one step above Katie for history.

Don't know if headbutt was intentional, but Amanda is the better fighter overall because she moved up 2 weight classes. That is not mentioned often enough. Katie is a little quicker and a great fighter, but Amanda is a better puncher. I rate Amanda one step above Katie for history.

Definitely intentional. Go re watch the fight. As soon as Taylor started getting hit clean she started dive in with her head

The financial rewards from the bout might comfort Serrano.

Ten three minute rounds would've made more sense. The two minute rounds don't give enough time for nuance and not as much of a test of stamina.

These fights piss me off. It's like, what more would Serrano had to have done to get the W in either one? Obviously a KO, but it's bs. There were times I almost thought the first fight should have been stopped cause Taylor was taking such a bad beating. I thought, for sure Serrano had it in the bag by the end of the fight. When the results were announced, I couldn't help but feel sorry as hell for her and the robbery that took place.

Then this rematch happens and well, the results made me say , f**k it. They just don't ever want to give it to Serrano no matter how much better she shows herself. Then after the fight people were calling that they need a 3rd fight so bad. FOR WHAT? So that Serrano can go 0-3 robbery? Sure, it probably is a nice paycheck for her, but the results left on her record are appalling for someone that just reads a record and doesn't deep dive into the story behind a loss.

If I were her, I would say "go f**k yourselves" if they offer her a 3rd. At this point, it's easy win for Taylor who knows that as long as she stays on her feet, she's getting the W and the paycheck.

Didn’t seem intentional to me, nor to Roy Jones. But who knows? I thought Amanda should’ve gotten the nod, especially with that point deduction. Can’t see how Taylor could’ve won after that. But although Serrano started her career a couple of weight classes lower, she’s naturally at least as big as Katie. Both women are approximately the same height, and Amanda has more muscularity. It tells in the power department. Serrano has a far greater KO percentage than Taylor. In their encounters, Amanda has had the advantage of being able to literally walk through Katie’s feather fists and deliver punishment with impunity. That kind of imbalance is huge. Frankly, I don’t know how Taylor has been able to survive that onslaught over 24 rounds. Tough girl. They both are.
