Learn from his mistakes too Brian , stay away from alcohol , live like an athlete year round your career will have more longevity and you can spend your camps perfecting your craft and fight plan instead of losing weight and getting in shape. You are a young guy with a chance to set yourself up for a very comfortable life. Don't squander it.

That fight between Norman and Santillan made a fan out of me. Norman displayed a tremendous will to win.

The unknown no name dude that is three years younger and has the same number of world title belt as Boots Ennis that Eddie didn't want to pay enough to make Boots an easy unified beltholder at 147 and a bigger name, and as a result ending up to having Boots face Karen the second time and look worse than the first time.

Wow, you seem to know this Norman fella and that's great. I had no idea Brian was such a big attraction, I assume he is with a big promoter, did Brian make a better offer to Boots? What was the offer Brian made to Ennis? Just askin cause you seem to know this big name Brian fella.

Did Brian even make an offer to boots Ennis? Or did he, Brian, just say NO and never make an offer because never wanted the fight and was perfectly content with easy fights for 1/10th the money he was demanding?

Eddie and boots offered Norman 1.8mil and team Norman countered with 2.3. Some people are gonna say Norman shoulda took it others are gonna say boots shoulda paid. I think Eddie & boots shoulda paid, 500k isn't a huge amount more. It's all a matter of opinion tho

According to Brian Norman senior, using his figures, Brian walked away from his last fight with about $90,0000 in his pocket. There are no million dollar paydays at 147 and if 1.8 million is too little for the risk, I can guarantee 154 is out of the question.

In the end, Brian Norman's team chose to turn down Boots Ennis and not because 1.8 million is not enough, but because 1.8 million is not enough for the risk of taking a loss to Boots Ennis.

Frankly, I think Brian did the right thing by not fighting Ennis. Ennis is a one off guy like Crawford and Brian like Danny Garcia can make money and remain undefeated for a while before he faces a risk like Ennis. Maybe David Avanesyan
