Ah yes. He pays big money for Colum smiths domestic 8 rounder but wouldn’t pay Norman jr a few hundreds thousand more for a title unification with bootsy ennis lol. Gotta get colum a “huge fight” lmao. Yes. The people are pounding the table for more smith brothers

Bivol is perhaps an unrealistic target but on a boxing level, any of the four names mentioned would be very happy to fight Callum Smith.

Hahaha, good point. At this point, does anyone particularly care about Callum, and I can't see what his value is at world level .

A few hundred thousand "extra" for a guy who's never seen a few hundred thousand is ridiculous demands on his fathers behalf.

His father was delusional, neither of them are draws and Eddie has a deal with Boots with a minimum guarantee.

Paying Norman his expected amount and Boots his guarantee just wasn't/isn't feasible.

Smith on the other hand could probably sell out whatever the liverpool arena is called on his own.

Give the man a half decent opponent and he'll make decent money especially against domestic "rivals" like Yarde, Buatsi and the likes.

The Smith brothers are all good solid guys and fighters but Callums bubble has burst at top level .There's still a few domestic dust ups if he's really that keen but he's got to pick them right otherwise , it's disaster .

I'm not sure what he weighsin between flights, but perhaps he should try cruiser weight, it must still be hard to make light heavy, kind of a dead and weight category for him?!

Canelo knows how close their fight was, he will finally fulfill the wishes of all with the long awaited rematch. This time Canelo will defeat Smith in a very dominant and convincing fashion, shutting down all the critics and haters.

Canelo will earn between 30-50 million for this fight.

Cementing his legacy as the man who has earned the right to do whatever he wants because he is the face of boxing.

exactly what I was thinking - ultimately Hearn can't see in Ennis what Ennis sees in himself - but this also speaks to the state of the US boxing scene - a good fighter like Callum Smith in a competitive match-up with another UK fighter is much better supported by the British boxing public [so Hearn can make more money] than a very good fighter like Ennis is supported by US boxing fans against say Barrios, Norman or Fundora - so Hearn is going where the money is for him as a promoter. If in doubt - follow the money trail. -
