Love those shows during the week; even matchups are refreshing. The only thing I can stand is the Probox TV announcer who during an introduction will three times say "You're in the right place". And on other shows like Red Owl, it doesn't look like they can afford a damned light bulb! I keep thinking when are they going to turn on all the lights. Really cheap looking how their lighting budget barely matches that of a local bar! But all of those offer even matchups which I can't say about expensive productions Like Top Rank and Golden Boy that have endless 17-0 or 15-1 fighters fighting 16-6 (5 KO's) hapless opponents ad nauseam just to overly protect and pamper their roster of fighters while keeping them in the kiddie pool and pumping them up having them feast on hopeless opposition. At least Probox creates great matchups with wars. If Oscar or Arum was forced to pit their fighters against equal opposition as prospects like ProBox does, both Bob and Oscar would sht in their pants and turn blue in the face frightened that their prospects would finally be hit hard in the face.

I watch that and wonder why somebody let that be a problem in the first place. Its obvious nobody can see anything.

Imagine getting paid to fight, with all risks involved, and then having to it in a dark room where it barely looks possible to see the other guy's punches coming.

There's no hand holding or babying of prospects on those shows. I also like how they will bring a guy back even if they lose as long as they give a good honest fight. That's how it should be. A prospect coming up through these promotions will be ready when they get a shot because they have seen styles that don't match up to their advantage and their confidence is hard won. We've seen a million guys brought up the easy way fall apart when they've finally faced decent opposition . Top Rank is pretty good about .methodically building up a prospect , if a bit slow sometimes. What did you think about the Lugo kid last night ? He's got the number two record for KO's in the Amateurs , his brother is number one. The Lopez kid looks pretty good , someone to keep an eye on for sure.

Adam's probably gave away too many early rounds but he should have got the W. His work was far cleaner.

Andreas Katzourakis won the fight dammmm the judges at fault and the announcers with no knowledge. Brandon Adams rocked him and pulled through on some later rounds also, but those are few and in-between and the punch stats are some BS too! Just my opinion folks

Brandon played himself. If he had fought the entire fight the way he fought the last two rounds he might have had his hands raised. Surprised the ref never cautioned Kat about the use of his head.

Lugo - really reminds me of Vinnie Pazienza! Like a blast from the past. And what an AM record!
