Comments Thread For: Those who helped Jake Paul-Mike Tyson happen are the problem, not those who watched it

Owen Lewis argues that the people who watched Jake Paul and Mike Tyson share a boxing ring for eight rounds are not to blame for the spectacle going ahead. It is instead the fault of the boxers and their respective teams

The fight was ok you can say as many thought Tyson beats jake. Maybe they were kidding themselves to justify fight happening.
But ordinarily 58 year olds with health issues should think twice before fighting decent talents with ambitions to go far

Owen Lewis, for the love of your deity - get over yourself. Evil is genocide, serial murderers, war crimes. Not facilitating an uneven fight between consenting adults.

Boxing is a very dirty business that is always taking advantage of people. Last I checked, all parties involved were willing participants. I've seen worse situations in this sport. Fighters showing clear signs of pugilistic dementia fighting in far worse mismatches. The Texas athletic commission is inept? No kidding, most are. Five years ago, Indiana's athletic commission sanctioned a 70 year old who last fought in 1983 to fight a 43 years old with 0-6 record (5 of those losses by KO).

This was a carnival side show as a main event, nothing more and nothing less. Celebrity boxing once treated us to Joey Buttafuoco versus Chyna. Any of the sports writers clutching pearls over this farce are no different than anyone else trying to use the event for their own benefit.

Disappointing that this article is posted to take a shot at the president that most of us love, but perhaps this writer watches msm. You also insult Mike Tyson. Not on.

He beat her pillar to post. It was pretty hard to watch. He threw sloppy arm punches and displayed no skill whatsoever but it was basically just a dirtball dude beating on a woman for three rounds. Joey seemed proud of himself in there.

The irony is that Buttafuoco was supposed to fight John Wayne Bobbitt but Bobbitt had to drop out after being arrested for....wait for it... domestic violence.
