Comments Thread For: Despite test from Tevin Farmer, William Zepeda says he's ready for Shakur Stevenson

William Zepeda needed to dig deep to get past Tevin Farmer, but that didn't shake his confidence in his readiness to face Shakur Stevenson next.

Easy work for Shakur. No disrespect to Zepeda, a good fighter.

I'm kind of in that same vein. I see Stevenson making Zepeda miss tons of punches and clocking him at will in a non-exciting fight although the fight at times might be exciting. I was intrigued till last night. I also wonder if Zepeda who has been dropped 2-3 times would be able to take Davis' power. Some luster came off of Zepeda for these matchups.

Shakur is perhaps the most overrated fighter in the entire sport. He loses his next fight.

Shakur can't do anything to Zepeda with those Feather fist. All he can do is RUN with his new Rebook shoes.

Zepeda did get counter while throwing the jab, but did not get hurt. Shakur doesn't have power to hurt even a girl. The more someone throws the higher the chances of getting counter. The only one that can beat Zepeda is someone with power like Tank.

On the balance of probability, Zapeda tries to make the fight exciting by throwing a lot of punches, Shakur slows it down, makes him miss, makes it boring and wins a decision without putting Zapeda down because he will not go for the kill. It is against his nature and safety first approach.
