It's remarkable how Taylor collects her "close" decisions. In any given round she can be battered, staggered, her mouth hanging open. . . And then uncork one of her girlish combos--and it's enough for the judges.

Too bad for the 4x head-butted Serrano who deserved the decision.

Bwahahah Katie didn’t win the 12th. She won the last 10 seconds of the round. She used this tactic all fight. Was beat up all round and popped off a couple nice shots close to the end of the round and somehow the judges were scoring her 2/3 countershots over the 5/6 she was taking to return them. Matchroom decision again. Thats what happens when Jake Paul is your promoter. #boxingpolitics

Katie clearly won the first minute of that round. Serrano won maybe the next 30 seconds, and then her section of the crowd started cheering which maybe skewed some viewer's perception of the action. Katie won the closing exchanges. Not a difficult a round to score comfortably for Katie.

It is though. You probably scored the fight for Katie too. Thing is this. It’s like 80/20 the split on who won this fight. You can call people casuals blah blah and try to say what you want but people know who won. When you watched a fight at school and everyone watched we all knew who won. There would always be the one guys friends trying to say he won cause he landed a good punch or something but everyone always knew who won that person knew themselves. You’re one of Katie’s fans I get it. I’m just saying I’m not even a fan of women’s boxing idc bout serrano but she won that fight lol. My 65 year old aunt brought up the “wrestling girls on Netflix one with all the cuts” even she thought Serrano won like lol. It is what it is

I didn’t score the fight; but from what I saw, I thought Serrano won a close fight. It’s completely within the realm of possibility that I’d see it for Taylor if I scored it seriously. And I just might do that, because the fight is totally worth re-watching. Check out the scores for both this fight and their previous encounter on Boxrec. It’s very interesting to note the judges’ round-by-round scorecards and that of the fans. A lot of people were clamoring that Amanda won the first fight, which was a SD, yet the fans on Boxrec scored it 96-94 for Katie. The judges were unanimous in the rematch, but the fans scored it for Serrano by a score of 95-94. That’s razor-thin — and that’s including the point deduction. So no, it’s not an 80-20 split. Doesn’t seem so clear if fans on Boxrec scored it 95-94, Serrano. Most people do seem to favor Amanda in this one, but the crowd isn’t always right. My point is that the outcome wasn’t the robbery so many are complaining about. As you said, we’ve seen worse decisions. It wouldn’t bother me if these two went at it one more time. Their fights are more exciting than that of most men.
