Hearn is actually upset with DAZN as he once thought he had to the platform to himself. But, once Turki got the involved, he told Hearn that for him to remain as one of his lap dogs, he had to repair the relationship with Warren (Turki’s favorite lap dog) and not bark when Warren made a move to join the DAZN platform.
DAZN under Hearn was losing money and they were not pleased with constantly bleeding red ink as Hearn was spending their money like a drunken sailor. Hearn also paid Canelo $30M+ to fight UK pizza drivers. Finally, DAZN had enough and opened the floodgates to other promoters. The Matchroom experiment has been a complete failure for DAZN, and they had no option but to stop the bleeding.
Hearn reluctantly accepted Turki’s demand with the promise that he would get Riyadh Season dates where he didn’t have to spend Matchroom money or actually promote since Turki would be footing the tab. Given the promise of a free ride and not having to actually work for his money Hearn accepted.
But, little does Turki know that behind the scenes, Hearn is plotting to jump ship and try going back to Sky Sports. Hearn just can’t bear sharing DAZN with Golden Boy, Warren, Salita Promotions, possibly Top Rank, and others.

ESPN never really prioritized their relationship with TR and boxing. They had the potential to create stars but never bothered. When a viewer tunes in to watch a boxing match at is scheduled time and has to wait 45 minutes for a women's college basketball game to finish, it speaks volumes.
Many boxing fans have clamored for more centralized and unified approach to the sport. We may get from the Saudis, but it may not be exactly how we envisioned or wanted it to be.

I have hope that ESPN stays in the boxing game. Honestly, Top Rank can give ESPN as many cards as the put on this last year and still have tons of opportunities to get talent on DAZN. I just hate the idea of the boxing being relegated to basically one outlet.
I guess in a way, I should look at it differently: Nothing has gotten boxing back in the mainstream sports news, at least here in the US. Maybe DAZN has always been the best outlet for this sport now. I have stayed away from it as I see it's price per month as too much. If all the major promotions are on one streaming outlet with most of the larger cards available to subscribers, I guess I can rework my entertainment budget and get it. So long as the PPV wall is not thrown up on every big fight card, I can reason it out if all the top fights are there.

TR going to dazn would be the logical next move. They already worked with Turki and they have a stake in dazn so I'd be surprised if they don't go. 2 big UK promoters and 2 big American promoters on the same app? Sounds good to me
