For weeks Jaron "Boots" Ennis will have prepared to win a no-win situation while ignoring the collective sigh of fans, each of them as frustrated as him to have to endure what was set to take place. He would have considered how to make the best of a less-than-ideal situation and how to beat his opponent, Karen Chukhadzhian, in a way that was both different from and an improvement on last time. Last time, of course, Ennis had beaten Chukhadzhian by unanimous decision, winning every round, which meant the only way to better that result was by now stopping Chukhadzhian in their rematch.

I see no issues with Ennis trying to get the KO everytime, and getting hit in the process. So far, it has worked well for him, specially since his opponents didn't have the power to really hurt him. There will come a time thought when he will face hard hitters, and will therefore need to adjust his strategy.

Virgil ortiz looked like complete crap and teofimo looked terrible in their last fights, way worse than boots, and did you criticize them?

Ennis' exposure to higher level fights is almost nil as you've seen on his record. 34 fights and still no notable name in it. It would be a complete shock to him if he faces Ortiz, Bohachuk, Murtazaliev, Tzsyu, Crawford, etc.

It seemed to me that Boots wanted the KO and was willing to take chances to get it , he wasn't terribly concerned with what was coming back at him. Karen fought a million times better than in the first fight. Karen is better than we all thought , including Boots. You can't swim without getting wet.
