I think everybody saw what Boots was doing - he fought aggressively going for the KO. He is good so that was expected. What shocked a lot of people was how easily Karen was able to hit Boots again and again and again without Boots adjusting for it. Nobody is saying that Karen won or that outcome of the fight was in doubt.

Also, going forward I am not sure there are any givens in terms of what his opponents will or will not do. All that became very apparent last night is that for all of his natural talent, ability and skill, Boots is unproven at a high level and that he may not turn out to be as great as many people expected of him. He will need to step up and fight someone in the top 5 so that we can see how good Boots really is.

In his latest post Breadman was adamant that Boots would stop both Vergil Ortiz and Ryan Garcia. I am not sure anything is a given after last night. Even Ryan Garcia would have a shot at stopping Boots. Karen was landing that left hook all night with ease and Ryan's left hook is deadly. If would not have to land 10 times to do damage.

Murtazaliev also has a deadly left hook.

The reason people think Ortiz is able to beat Boots is the fact that the guys Ortiz is beating are better than Boots. One of them dropped the Craw and the other was a hard boiled Russian at 154. Boots hasn't done anything like that.

Ryan Garcia got dropped twice (just like Virgil) and quit like a bytch against Tank. Then he took roids and dropped Haney but couldn't KO him. He has no shot at all and it would be comical. Virgil stepped up against Bohachuk and got embarrassed. Again, Boots beats this chump 2x and won 20 rounds to 4 and people are saying he sucks. Ryan quits and takes roids and Virgil gets dropped twice and they are great. hahahahhaa
