i was expecting Ennis to stop this guy, this time. Very surprised at his sloppiness. He has taken unnecessary shots in the past and that continued last night. Was he not fully focused because of the opposition? If that's not the excuse, then maybe Boots isn't what many of us have projected.

It’s sad Boots pop was expecting the same finish as in when Bomac told Bud that the scoring was close in late rounds with Porter.. remember what happened to Porter after Bud heard that??

Yes. I have to say that Boot's "daddy" is now in the same category as Teo's "daddy". Totally useless as a corner man for his son. One difference is Bozy isn't a raging drunk like Sr. It looks like Bozy is caught up in his son's hype (like me). Some folks were saying that Spence needs to leave Derrick and go train with Bozy but it looks like Boots and Spence needs to go train with Ronnie Sheilds!

True assessment from me is that he's been getting hit to much unnecessarily. I have always compared Boots to the second coming of RJJ (my fav fighter ever) but I have to scale back on that comparison. A young RJJ never got hit....EVER! I think the first time RJJ ever got punched in the face in a boxing match was in 2004 when he got KO'd against Antonio Tarver. He was 36 years old. Boots is 27.

Interesting title to the article and interesting take. I criticized the need for the rematch and the quality of the initial bout but I actually thought the fight was pretty entertaining and Chukhadzhian gave a very good account of himself.

If anything, I think this was Boots toughest fight to date and showed a lot of his flaws and perhaps was an indicator of the level of his next fight.

Maybe that's just what Ennis needed: a sub par performance that makes him look beatable.

I hope Boots didn't scare Eddy. He'll keep Boots safe to protect his investment. Look for somebody easier next time.
